lab “pizza” lunch

Here’s most of us having our a “pizza” lunch. We are saying farewell to Amy (again) and celebrating Gang and Dina’s projects. Obviously, this semester has been different. Still, I hope we’ve learned. It helped me to put our semester in perspective: Cambridge sent home its students in the 1660s, and Newton did some of his best work while working from home. Shakespeare’s later plays were written after the theatres closed in the 1600s. And Boccacio was inspired by the epidemic of 1348 to write the Decameron. So there is lots of precedence for getting our work done. Or even better, more inspired work than we had planned. Of course, it’s not easy – so thanks to everyone in the lab for keeping spirits up.
